WOYWW #771

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go HERE. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello! We are having another beautiful sunny day today! I love to see the sun and the promises it brings for the Spring. But I'm sure there will be some more snow before that happens. Here is my desk this morning:

I'm trying to work out a journal page for the solar eclipse coming up. We are in the pathway for a great view!
This week I have been working on finishing my ATC's from Sarah Gardner's lesson in Fodder School 1. Here they are after putting the first layer on top of the backgrounds:

Then there is the second and last layer which finishes the ATC's off:

Now that these are done per instructions, I'm going to try some variations!

On Monday I sang in my women's choir for the first time in a concert. It was very exciting, there were 4 choirs together making 100 people singing! Were were fundraising, and so I made some cookies to sell on the bake table. They made $900 on just the cookies! It was fun, and a good experience for me, I will be doing the concerts from now on! I went through a terrible period where my voice was so gravelly I couldn't sing at all, but now that has mostly cleared up.

Here we all are getting ready to sing. You can't see me in this pic though☹️I am far to the left just out of the shot.

I hope everyone is having a lovely week, the kitties send their "meows", and I say have a great week everyone!

March is finally here! The Gateway to Spring as I call it!🌷

I know it's still a ways away, but we're getting there!

Here is my desk this morning. Not much on it, but I have been busy.

I've been working on my 100 days of using fodder in my Tiny Journal, which I finally finished, after 2 years of playing in it!

Here are my last pages:

and my very last page I used bits from my "tiny bits" box

I want to make a flip through video of this Journal soon.

After that I worked a bit in my Donna Downey Journal:

and finally I started making a book for my Foster Child in Haiti (which is why the words are in French), it is a one sheet of paper book!

I have one more page to do.

And that's it for me. Still too cold for Mittsy to go outside, but Inky doesn't seem to mind! They both send purrrrs to their kitty cousins, and I say have a wonderful week!

PS: in answer to a question from last week, yes I did look for dark parts of magazine pages to stencil on, and I stencilled with gesso and white paint. The Gesso was lighter, the paint thicker.

Almost the last day of February! Finally! I'm looking forward to March and the ease into Spring!

Here is my desk this morning:

I have joined the #100daysofusingfodder, so I have been working in my Tiny journal everyday. I only have 3 pages left in this journal that I have been working in for a year! Here are my pages for this week:

I used this piece of fodderfrom a previous Fodder School lesson, painting on acetate for this next page, as well as the little boy from Tim Holtz

Just this little half page, words are a Dylusions sticker

I learned a new fodder method that I love, stenciling in white on magazine pages! I love the look, and used one on the page below↓

Using bits and pieces of fodder, Megan Quinlan stencil on top. The black paint bled on the flower top on the right, so I just incorporated it so it looks like it was on purpose!

This was yesterday's, using a text background that I sprayed with pink Distress Oxide Ink through a Dylusions border stencil, and used a piece of fodder from my Fodder Book on top

Well, that's it for today! Mittsy went for her annual checkup at the vet yesterday and passed with flying colours. She is now 15 lbs! She is such a big cat! Never would have known from seeing her as a kitten!

Who would have guessed this tiny cutie would be so big!

Have a wonderful week and beginning of March! Inky and Mittsy give purrrrrrs to their kitty cousins!

Hello! I almost forgot to post today! Aaaaah! I was excited about starting my new fodder pages...anyway, here is my desk this morning:

as you can see, I was using my gelli plate, and made these:

I will only be using the ones I marked, so extra fodder for other projects!

I worked on 2 journal pages this week:

as you can see, I am still working on the big journal.

I joined the #100daysofusingfodder challenge, as I have a lot of fodder to use up! If you like you can find me on Instagram at Lindart61.

We had a lovely Valentines Day last week, we got beautiful flowers! Here is Mittsy checking them out (she later tipped the whole thing onto the floor 😠) Mittsy loves plants and I have to be careful what comes into the house because she is prone to nibbling...

And here is Inky enjoying her new "cat blanket"!

That's all from us today, glad I remembered to post! Meow to all the kitty cousins! Have a great week!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! ❤️❤️❤️ It is a beautiful morning here, we just had a fresh bit of snow last night, not too much, just enough to make everything pretty again!

Here is my desk this morning:

I was just finishing up the Valentines Card for hubby. The red box has various hearts in it. I now have a new holder for all my black pens (the wooden holder to the right) because there were too many for where they were before, and I found my gel pens to take their place with the Posca pens and all my markers.

This week I have been busy working on my Fodder for my FS1 class, I really like them, methinks they will be hard to tear up into tiny pieces!

My Mom had her 89th birthday on Monday, this is the card I made her, she loved it!

And hubby's Valentines card, inspired by Megan Quinlan. I cut the bird out of a corner of my underpaper because I loved the colours so much! You can kind of see where I cut the corner off, under my scissors, on my desk pic.

I have joined a "100 days of using fodder" challenge, starting on Sunday, I hope I can keep up!

I will leave you with Mittsy pretending to be a statue on top of the fireplace...

Inky and Mittsy give everyone ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️and meows!

Have a great week,

I celebrated my 19th Blogiversary on Monday! My first post was Feb 5, 2005. It was very short, just a photo of the calendar grid I was working on. My blog really took off when I joined WOYWW on August 1st, 2012! But for some reason I only started writing the numbers in 2014 - #251.

Anyway, here is my desk this morning.

I've been working on my Fodder School #1 lessons for April by Sarah Gardner. I spent all week making background papers:

My collection of paints that I'm using for this project:

Still have a few more backgrounds to make, and then we move on.

I did manage to do 2 pages in my little Mini-Journal I started a year ago:

When we went to Nova Scotia in 2022 we bought a cute little handmade set for Jasper. It was way too big then, but recently she wore the jacket and loved it! So cute!

That's it for me. No kitty photos this week. I hope everyone has a great week, Inky and Mittsy say "meow" to all their fur cousins out there!
