Art Journal Pages

Here are my latest Art Journal Pages. I do these in a Composition Book. I am almost finished with this one, I will be starting a new one July 1st. This one went from Nov.14, 2007 to June 2009.

I really like the colours on this page! She is looking so
longingly at those cookies, but can't have them! (story of my life!)

Mother's Day stamps! The black dots were made with a
Ranger Paint Dauber, that was dry. I was trying to re-vitalize
it and got these grunge spots, so I used them!
All the stamps are Paper-Artsy

Thought I would try some Altered Pages images on this page (right side).
The hand is a rubbing from a brass door knocker
I found at a garage sale.

I loved this face made with coffee grounds!
There are teeny lined letters and
big letters. I can't even read the teeny lined,
but I don't like the size and chunkiness
of the big letters.

Michael Jackson tribute page. I may add some personal
thoughts on this page later on.
The glove flips back for a short biography.

Altered Book Page

In reading back over my posts, I see I promised an Altered Book page and never delivered. Here it is!

This is the ATC Daphne sent to me. . .

Ans this is what I did with it. A bit of a mix of Chinese and Japanese, I hope no one minds!

I have another AB page to do for a swap, and some Rolodex cards to get busy with. I'll show them as soon as they're done!

It's Been Awhile. . .

I've been busy with work the past month, and really haven't had time for much art. I'm finishing off a Journal, and I'll post the final pages soon. But I have done a few pages in my Moleskine, and one is a tribute to Michael Jackson. I was so sad to hear that he had died. He was a genius in the music/dance world, and I have always admired him. I feel he was an "innocent" and that a lot of people took advantage of that. He never had a chance to be a child, and the public took that away from him as an adult. He was probably a tortured soul.

Here is my MJ page:

Not a great drawing, but a little resemblance I think! It was the thought that counted!

Here are the other 2 pages I managed to do in June:

My friend Martha and I went to the City Park one Saturday morning, and saw a marching band!

I also drew this Martello Tower, very old, that guards the harbour. You can tell it's been a long time between drawings - the tower isn't really skewed!

I hope to get some Comp Journal pages up this weekend. Then I hopefully can start some ART!!!
