WOYWW #469

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed last week's anniversary! I wasn't able to get around to everyone, but I tried! I missed one return, I will definitely get to her this time! We had a crazy weekend - my Mom, niece and I went on an all-day house tour, then DH, my niece and I had an awesome dinner just of bread and dips! In the meantime - my daughter and her boyfriend got engaged in Banff, Alberta! It was a surprise for her, we knew it would happen soon, but didn't know when or how! She was supposed to be all on her own on her Birthday (Saturday) but he surprised her! It was all so sweet.  I had to work on Sunday, so there went the weekend!

Anyway, you are here to see my desk this morning, here it is:

My friend is coming tomorrow to play, we are going to try gelli prints, which she has never done before!

I also made a new journal page this week:

I'm very pleased with this one! The page wanted the dragonflies to fly!

Well, that's it for me today, one last picture, here is Inky and her Chipmunk friend "Chippy", who is sticking his head out of a drainpipe

Inky says "meow", and I hope everyone has a great week!

WOYWW #468

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!! I can't believe it has been 9 years (although I don't think I've been here quite that long!) I am looking forward to sending my ATC (for the first time!) to the next person after my name!

What a wonderful Spring day we are having here! Still chilly, but I'm in no rush for the heat of summer. Everything smells wonderful this morning after a day a light rain yesterday. The leaves are popping out, and the spring trees and bushes are almost ready to bloom!

Here is my desk this morning:

I have just started a new journal page after watching some You Tube videos on my i-pad, looking for inspiration. Something came up with a dragonfly and that was it! I want the dragonflies to "fly" out of the page, so I cut the 2 middle pages so it would look like the dragonfly was flying. We'll see how it turns out!

I'm hoping you aren't getting tired of pics of my tiny front garden, but I love it. I was parking the car yesterday and the side view, with all the animals, was wonderful, so I thought I would share it:

We have squirrels who eat the seed that the larger birds pull out of the feeder above. There is a chipmunk hiding to the left, and a couple of more birds on the lawn. usually there are 2-3 times more birds/small animals on the lawn at any one time, including rabbits, and ducks! The other day, the fox ventured onto the lawn, the squirrels set off a VERY loud alarm, which got me running to the porch - to see Inky on the edge of the porch glaring down the fox, her tail all puffed up. I yelled at it and it ran away. I have since learned that the foxes now live in the backyard of the house across the street, and that another lady down the road feeds them! Well, hopefully that will mean they are not hungry for small cats. Later on that day Inky was chased by a loose dog, and I was impressed to see that she could outrun it!

I am so happy about my birdbath, and that the birds are slowly finding it and using it!

And finally, here is Inky checking it out too. It looks as if she is sharing it with a bird, but it's not real!

We both wish you the best week, Inky says "meow" and I say Happy WOYWW!

WOYWW #467

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! It's Wednesday again already! We had a wonderful Spring rain all day yesterday, and today the grass is green, the air smells awesome, and the leaves are popping out on the trees! Can't wait for my spring bushes to flower, should be soon!

Today is the day we share our desks, and I really don't have much to share - not to say I haven't been busy, just not in a very creative way. I have been unmounting all my scene stamps - water, trees, rocks, clouds, etc, which takes time, and doesn't show much except more empty boxes!
My desk this morning. . .

I also sorted out all my stencils into photo albums -

Mother's Day was last Sunday, so I made my Mom this card using my new stencil:

My daughter sent me a dragon card (I love dragons!) and a bluetooth speaker for my phone, as she also got me to listening to Spotify the last time she was here. It's awesome! She's such a wonderful daughter! My baby brother and I took our mom to lunch at her favourite Mexican restaurant - she loved it!

My big project this week was making my eyesore of a stump in our front yard into to birdbath! I was inspired by this post on Pinterest:

Nice use for leftover old bricks.... just stack them up and lay piece of wood on top and then lay a saucer on top.

Here is what I did with it (but it's not finished yet!) This was the planning stage. . .

Then I bought this beautiful bowl. . .

Now visualize beautiful flowers cascading down from around the bowl. . . Hopefully it will be awesome! I still have to fill the "well" with dirt, and plant the flowers. I'm thinking nasturtiums. . .
I can't even see the ugly stump anymore!

Anyway, that's all from me today, Inky says "meow" to all and any cats that are listening!

Have a great week!

WOYWW #466

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! I hope everyone's morning is as sunny and glorious as ours is today! Here is my desk first thing this morning:

Not much to show, just trying to get these Martha Stewart number stamps in my Numbers album. The WORST stamps I have ever bought! I had to put tacky glue on the backs of these supposed self-stick stamps. . .will have to now go back and do it to all the letters that came with this set too.

Unmounting all my Stampscapes and scenic stamps. Stampscapes stamps are so easy to unmount - the rubber comes right off! Yahoo! I put the tacky glue on them yesterday so they will be ready for today.

My new stencils! I saw the one with the hearts a few weeks ago one someone's desk, and immediately ordered it, plus the dragonfly! These are from The Crafter's Workshop. Can't wait to use them!

No art this week, just busy unmounting stamps and organizing my space.

BUT. . .this morning it was warm enough to have my morning coffee on the porch!! Yay! You can see my lettuce starting in the big container - no sprouts yet. . .fingers crossed!

And  here is Inky doing her favourite thing, watching the squirrels under the bird feeder! She doesn't chase them, just watches them!

Hope you have a wonderful week, Inky says "meow"!

WOYWW #465

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Today will be short and sweet, I had a dentist appointment this morning, lunch with my Mom, and I'm working this evening, so here is my window of opportunity!

My desk this morning:

Nothing much to show as I tidied up yesterday, but the there is something new!!!

Also, I have a secret desk here!:

It is actually very sturdy, and just the right height for pressing on a difficult stamp! Right now you see unmounted stamps that have tacky glue that is drying, and the wood mounts they came from so that I can transfer the information. Also my acrylic blocks are here.

Here is the finished journal page from the other week:

I was telling it I wanted white scribbly writing on it, and it was telling me it wanted colour and feathers. You see who won.

We finally got some sun here in Southern Ontario, Canada, and Inky is loving it.

Me too!

But the bugs are out too! (My wine! Get your own, bugs!)

Hope you have a wonderful week!
